Day 1: MOSCOW
Check in, departure at 17:30.
Day 2: UGLICH
16:30 – 20:00 Walking tour with Kremlin visit. Uglich is one of the oldest Russian towns and a part of the Golden Ring. The elegant shipping lock arch precedes the town, as you approach it sailing from Moscow. Then a breathtaking view of Uglich with all the onion domes of the churches opens from the Volga river. This place has a big number of historical monuments: Dmitry on the Blood Church, Princes’ Chambers, Transfiguration Cathedral etc. Also there is a very interesting new interactive Museum of Hydropower here.
Day 3: IRMA (VOLOGDA)
12:30 – 19:30 Green stop. You have an opportunity to buy some souvenirs or just have a walk in green fields and swim in the river.
Day 4: VYTEGRA
17:00 – 20:00 Walking tour with one of the museums visit: museum «Water ways of the North”, N.A. Kluev house-museum or Local history museum.
Day 5 : KIZHI AND PETROZAVODSK
Kizhi 08:00 – 12:00 Walking tour at State Historical and Architectural Museum.
The Kizhi island in Lake Onega is home to the open air Museum of Wooden Architecture. The visit to the Museum designated by UNESCO as World Heritage Site is included in the walking tour. The gems of the collection (which consists of more than 80 monuments of wooden architecture) are the 22- domed church of the Transfiguration of Our Saviour and the church of the Intercession of Holy Mary with the bell-tower between them.
Petrozavodsk 16:00 – 21:00 Walking city tour: saunter along the famous Onega embankment, seeing of Peter the Great monument, visit of the Theatre square, Victory memorial and historical city center.
Day 6: MANDROGI
12:00 – 15:30 Picnic on the shore. Optionally: excursion at the village Verkhnie Mandrogi, Island of Fairy Tales, Craft Sloboda or Museum of Russian Vodka.
Day 7: VALAAM
11:00 – 20:30 Walking tour at the Central homestead of Spaso-Preobrazhenskiy monastery and at cells. Passage between Nikonovskaya and Monastyrskaya coves by motor ship.
Valaam located in Lake Ladoga offers traditional walking tours to Our Saviour Transfiguration monastery and monastic hermitages. But if you want the island to reveal its secrets, be an attentive visitor, stroll through Valaam viewing its landscapes, meadows, pine trees on the mossy rocks or take a boat trip to explore the inner lakes and the picturesque shores of Ladoga – the largest lake in Europe.
Day 8: PELLOTSARI AND SORTAVALA
Pellotsari 08:00 – 11:30 Green stop. There is an equipped eco trail where tourists explore more than 30 nature objects and significant sights of human economic activities.
Sortavala 14:00 – 19:00 Bus tour with visit of art gallery and excursion at the “Ruskeala” park.
Day 9 -11: SAINT - PETERSBURG
09:00 – 09:00 (2 nights) Bus city tour at the historical center with visit of Peter and Paul Fortress or excursions at Kazanskiy Cathedral, Nikolskiy Cathedral and Chapel of Saint Ksenia Blazhennaya Peterburgskaya.
